At last Daddy has a little time to himself and can catch up on Maisie's blog. All is well you'll be pleased to hear.

Daddy about to start the duck race with a cuckoo call?
(he forgot the Duck call!)

Easter has come on gone and I know the question that you are all asking yourself........... Who won the Annual Duck Race?

Well the first year that Daddy introduces a Prize for the first Adult, he wins! Well Done Daddy.

Waiting for the ducks to be released - be careful Uncle Alex

Ella and Megan helping with the back markers -
no that isn't Daddy's winning duck in Megan's mouth

Gracie was the Winner
(for the third time)

All the winners celebrating!

Uncle Jim: "No Uncle Alex I don't think Maisie wants to go for a swim"

It's not like Charlie to pull a face!

A usual Easter was spent with the family and Maisie had a wonderful weekend seeing everyone, Daddy decided to drive down during the night while Maisie was sleeping;

Maisie getting ready to go

Maisie didn't quite know what happened - one minute she was playing at home and the next getting cuddles from Aunty Cat.

4 hours later Maisie was happy to see Aunty Cat

It was a busy weekend, Maisie went out for a walk with Grandpa and then back to the house to read to Grandma Jan;

Maisie had to show Aunty Helen her shoes;

" mmm, a little bit smelly Maisie, shall we put them back on?"

Daddy must remember not to leave Charlie and Gracie in charge of Maisie;

Maisie's not sure what happened

Maisie also dressed up for church on Easter Sunday - we're not sure that her Gran would have approved of her attire - a pretty dress may have been more suitable;

looks like Maisie could turn out to be a little eccentric
(don't know who she takes after)

enjoying Sunday dinner

Off up the hill to roll eggs;

everyone lined up to roll their decorated eggs

however Maisie had other ideas;

Wheeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

The Champion egg rollers;

Yeah!

Maisie had an Amazing time and behaved (fairly) well all weekend - she was not quite the handful that Mummy and Daddy expected;

Just after Easter Maisie had a surprise visitor - Aunty Alison popped around for about 2 minutes - she was just passing (not sure how that happens from Italy).

Aunty Alison could miss the chance to give Maisie a big cuddle

Now the weather is better Maisie is getting to spend more time outside, she loves picking flowers;

and feeding the chickens - they will take food right from Maisie's hand  - when Maisie's not taking her share of course!

 Maisie continues to love her food and when she's not pinching from Megan or the chickens she's scrumping apples from the fruit bowl;

eating again

Maisie likes hiding in small places;

"I got in my pram but I can't get out Daddy!"

and being a bit of a monster;

"look at me!"

It's hard to believe that Maisie will soon be 2 years old.
