Maisie treated Daddy to a new rucksack - it seems to be more to Maisie's benefit than Daddy's but it will keep him fit;

"this is the way to travel Daddy"

Maisie enjoyed her walk out with Daddy and looks forward to many more when the weather is better.

Maisie all red faced after her strenuous walk

Maisie visited Aunty Eleanor on her birthday to give her a large bunch of flowers but Aunty was happy just to get big cuddles from Maisie;

very happy to see each other

Maisie took advantage of visiting her Aunty's by making she sure she got as many cuddles as she could. It was Uncle Carls turn next;

enjoying a cup of tea with Uncle

and then on to Uncle Bill to show him her new shoes that she bought with money from her shoe fund

"I can walk anywhere in my new boots, even up you Uncle Bill!"

It was Burns night on Saturday so Maisie thought that she'd join in the celebrations and try Haggis for the first time - she loved it!

a wee dram from Maisie's quiach went well with her Haggis

Tuesday 14 January 2014

With Christmas barely over there was more partying for Hogmanay and the start of a New Year. It's been a busy start for everyone especially Maisie; so much has been happening but I'm sure you'll just want to see photos of My Amazing Maisie enjoying herself.

Here's a photo we didn't think we'd see as whenever Maisie sees cousin Alan she usual bursts into tears;

Maisie enjoying some loving
(notice Megan in the background getting fed
by Uncle Douglas - who says he NEVER spoils the dog!)

Maisie has been having lots of fun and getting a lot of attention - mainly in the form of lots of loving  - that's not spoiling her is it?

One very special person turned up to spend Hogmanay with Maisie - Uncle Alan! It was great to see Alan fit, well and making up for lost playtime with Maisie;

"you're funny Uncle Alan!"

The two were quite inseparable

Maisie continues to win everyone over with her smiles. Whenever Maisie is out and about she stops to give everyone she meets a smile.

Maisie doesn't just smile at people though, she goes about it in a rather odd way - Maisie stands and stares disconcertingly at her chosen target until quite nervously they smile -  at which point Maisie gives them the biggest smile she can!

"Aunty Rhona - you're funny!"
Maisie enjoys reading and over the festive period had lots of people to read to her;

"Peepo! is one of my favorite books Aunty Cat"

Uncle Douglas enjoying time with two of his favourite girls

You don't think that he spoils them do you?

"I'm just getting some more cuddles Daddy - I'll give you a cuddle later"

There are always a lot of cuddles for Maisie;

"Hopefully I will get put down soon so that  I can play?"

Maisie thinking about the next pair of shoes she'll buy
with money from her shoe fund (which Uncle Bill very kindly keeps topped up)

Grand Aunty Eleanor and Maisie keeping a close eye on the
proceedings, ensuring that everyone is behaving themselves

"I don't know if acting is for me Aunty Rhona, -
 I'd rather just smile naturally,  I shouldn't have to put it on"

Everything is funny at the moment for Maisie and she has developed the greatest chuckle, the nurses at the development centre can't stop laughing once Maisie gets them going - Maisie enjoys life so much and is taking in more and more everyday;

"is that really me Aunty Cat?"

To ensure that Maisie maintains her wonderful smile she has been to visit the dentist at the hospital. Maisie's teeth are quite soft and may need special attention as she gets older.

Maisie even smiles for the dentist
(you'll notice Mummy is making the most of Maisie's clothes)

Maisie's teeth are missing some enamel on the tips so please don't feed Maisie sweeties, juice or anything else that may damage her teeth. If any of you do feel inclined to buy treats, Mummy loves sweets and Daddy loves chocolate.

Maisie having a good winter, keeping fit and healthy and of course she's having lots of fun;

Playtime with Joshua

Playtime with Mummy

and of course - playtime with Megan

Life really is Amazing for My Amazing Maisie
