2 years later

Life passes by so quickly - who can believe that Maisie is already 2 years old!

So much has happened and so fast too - so fast that Daddy doesn't remember to update Maisie's blog! Daddy has made his excuses previously and has no more - he just prefers spending time with Maisie.

Daddy even had a time off before starting a new job and was so busy playing with Maisie that the blog didn't even get done that week.

Maisie had an Amazing Birthday - there was a wee party with some friends which involved the obligatory sandwiches, cheesy puffs, jelly, ice cream and of course a cake loving made by Meghan and Mummy;

no manners required - it was Maisie day!

It was a busy day for Maisie with lots of visitors and lots of presents to open however there were only three things that Maisie was really  interested in;

Her cake;

Uncle leading Maisie astray again?

Her bouncy castle;

that's not Maisie - are you not a bit big for the castle Meghan?

that's Maisie!

and her best present to date;

"anyone for tea?"

Maisie really appreciates all the kind gifts that she gets and thanks everyone for them however the tea set that Aunty Cat, Uncle Alex, Ella and Ava gave Maisie is by far her favorite - Maisie plays with it every day!

Thank you very much for all the kind gifts Maisie got and also for the money she received - her stocks and shares junior ISA is looking very healthy.

Daddy knows that the readers of the blog love looking at photos rather than reading what he has to say so thought that they'd appreciate this beautiful photograph;

Mummy enjoyed Maisie's special day just as much as Maisie did
(it was taken by Maisie's official photographer - Aunty Manu)

Everyone seemed to enjoy the day;

Uncle Alan made sure he didn't miss out on jelly and ice cream

everyone enjoyed the jelly and ice cream

And the presents kept coming even after the big day;

loving the welly boots from Carol and Andy

There have been lots of other special days too;

Grandpa and Grandma Jan visited;

Maisie took them to the park to show them how much fun she has there;

"higher Grandpa!"

"faster Daddy!"

Then Uncle Johnstone and Aunty Gloria sprung a surprise visit bearing gifts for Maisie;

Maisie loves visitors when all the attention is on her!

Meghan had a lot of friends around for drinks before her 6th Year Prom although Maisie's attire wasn't quite fitting with the other girls;

"Opps - I thought you were having the girls around
for a pajama party Meghan"

Daddy treated Maisie to a wee rucksack to go with her wee combat trousers - he couldn't resist it as it was "too cute" - yes Daddy actually said this - in fact he said it out loud while in the shop:

Off for a hike....

which lead to Maisie entering a fancy dress competition at St Monans Sea Queen Gala;

"are you sure that I'm dress right?"

Maisie was a little worried that she wasn't dressed up enough - is she making a habit of having the wrong attire?

Maisie didn't have to worry - she won 3rd prize dressed as a hiker!

 (don't tell anyone but Daddy and Maisie didn't know there would be a fancy dresss competition - Maisie was just dressed in what Daddy had chosen for her that morning)

There was also a special day for Daddy, it was Fathers Day and Daddy's birthday on the same day!

Daddy was very spoiled by the whole family; he had pancakes and bacon made for brunch followed by a family walk along the beach with a picnic;

Maisie cooling Mummy down......with Daddy's orange juice

Megan enjoyed the beach too;

"it's nearly deep enough for Maisie to play in"

Maisie burying herself in Megan's hole

Then it was out for dinner in the evening;

"Mmm, these dough balls are divine!"

Maisie continues to go from strength to strength, the Child Development Centre is very happy with Maisie and are helping with her transition from the centre to nursery. Maisie has been asigned a lovely lady from the  pre-school team who will continue to assess Maisie and also contact any nurserys that Maisie is going to attend to ensure that they know and understand Maisie's needs.

Maisie has been getting out and about more; attending a Sing-a-long group once a week at the local primary school with Nanny T and also going to a nursery class one afternoon at the Baptist Church in Leven on her own

Live is very very full for Maisie at the moment;

Maisie is always first in the queue for a biscuit at church

caged for her own safety?
No - enjoying playing in her den that Daddy helped her build

putting her wellies to good use

Amazing!
