so who took the biggest risk?

Was it Mummy going swimming?

Was it Daddy going to an indoor play centre?

Was it Maisie going shopping?

I guess we'll never know but..........

Maisie has been back in hospital. (for the first time since December 2012 if you don't include sleep studies).

A week past Sunday Maisie wasn't feeling very well and was running a high temperature. We knew something was wrong because Maisie wanted cuddles all day long.

As you may know Maisie does like cuddles but as there is so much to do Maisie's cuddles usually last less than a minute. Maisie perked up for tea time but by late evening she wasn't good again.

There was a quick midnight visit to the doctor in St Andrews for some antibiotics - that should do the job.

It did, but not for long and Wednesday morning Maisie had a fully blown lung infection and was struggling to breath. By lunch time Maisie had been admitted into the Childrens Ward in Kirkcaldy and was starting a course of every drug the doctors could think to use in the High Dependancy Unit.

By Tuesday Maisie was feeling a lot better
and found a new hat

It brought back lots of memories, there were the same wires, same machines, same noises, same monitors that made you constantly look to see how Maisie was getting on.

We have been very lucky that Maisie has not had an infection before now. It's been a little lonely at times while everyone stayed away in case they were carrying a cold or some other illness, but worth it.

When Maisie recovers she will still be venturing out as the consultant suggested as she needs to build up her immune system now she is bigger and stronger. Don't be afraid to visit!

Maisie came home on Thursday afternoon to find that the church had sent a lovely bunch of flowers to let her know that they were all thinking about her - Thank you.

Maisie now has an inhaler to help her wee lungs recover but she shouldn't need it for long and she is back down to her usual oxygen level .

It has been a long two weeks - everyone is looking forward to a relaxing weekend all together, back at home.
